My son's bus comes at 6:40am. We all managed to sleep through our alarms (all four of them) and at 6:25am Jack screamed, "I HAVE TO GO!" ... what a perfect start for the school year. We managed to get a picture of him before he ran for the bus, but his expression is not shareable with the world.
Then comes my daughter. Her bus is supposed to come at 9:05am. I have to be to work at (or before) 8:30am. So she gets to be dropped off at before school care. So we have to push her into the car and make our way to the school at 7:30am. We snap a picture of her very quick as she heads into the school, a picture of her smiling big, but with a nervous look in her eyes.
Done.
By the time I get to work I'm already ready for a nap.
Plus I start thinking of the future, when its dark in the morning and snow is up to our knees ... We will never get anywhere on time then. I guess the first day doesn't seem so bad now. :)
