Minecraft Sweet minecraft

At our monthly Minecraft group (which is very popular and on the second Monday of the month at 6pm for families of all ages) I quite often hear parents say "I have no idea what is going on." However they do see their enthusiasm working together with the other kids thank goodness.

Unfortunately, sometimes I read articles about people who think its a waste of time, a waste of their mind, and terrible with socialization. This is totally not true!

My kids (who are a 6 year old girl and a 10 year old boy) play together without yelling at each other (most of the time)! Plus they have friends that come over and they work together in certain worlds to create fun things.

It is true what some of the articles say, that it is hard to get them to stop sometimes, but that is when we have to be parents. Kids cry about different things all the time. I want that stuffed animal. I don't want to do my homework. I don't want to eat that food. Sometimes it is a hard struggle to be a parent. However, Minecraft, in certain ways, is worth it. I play with my kids sometimes, and then when it is time to stop playing and do homework, I just type it in the chat box. I hear whining, but eventually they stop and eat dinner. I have found that its a great and interesting way of socializing with my kids. And now its great for even more reasons.

The UN is using it! Check out these articles ...
