Outreach Services

CPL-on-the-Go!

CPL-on-the-Go! is the Chili Public Library’s “pop up” service. We visit schools, daycare centers, local festivals, parades and other community events. At the events we provide information about our library and programs, as well as the occasional storytime. If you would like us to “pop up” at your event, email our CPL-on-the-Go! coordinator Valerie Watson at Valerie.Watson@libraryweb.org.

Books-to-People Service for Town of Chili Homebound Residents

The Friends of the Chili Public Library offers a free service called Books to People.  If you are a resident of Chili and are unable to get to the library for health reasons, we will bring library books to you.  The service is free to Chili residents and is facilitated by the Friends of Chili Public Library.

How Books to People Works

  1. Fill out the application form below. Print applications forms are available at the Chili Public Library Reference Desk.
  2. You will need a library card in good standing to access this service. If you don’t have a library card, please call the Chili Public Library Director Jeff Baker 585-889-6110 and he will assist you in getting a card.
  3. A Friend of the CPL will help in the selection of books and Books on CD based on your preferences and will deliver the items to you. A Friend of CPL will return the items back to the library when you are finished with your selections.  You will have up to 6 weeks before your books will need to returned.
  4. After the initial set up, as a patron of the Books to People program, you will be responsible for contacting your Friends of CPL volunteer directly to arrange for pick-up and delivery.

If you have any questions, please contact Carol LaValle at 585-889-1173.

Please note:  You will be responsible for any costs incurred due to lost or damaged items.
