Thanks to those of you who voted, we will have a new home! I am so excited because there will be so much more space to hang out, play and for us to have events. Not only that, there will be more space for books! We have to get rid of books so much that it hurts, but because we don't have the space that's what we have to do.
I have already been thinking of all the things we need to do:

• obviously another kids bathroom with a small toilet :)
  
• a place for more parents to sit and hang out while kids have fun in different interactive areas
  
• a larger makerspace for people to play with technology
  
• a quiet spot for those who want to read
  
• a TEEN SPACE that's JUST FOR TEENS! I think that I am most excited about this because our teens deserve something better, somewhere that they can hang out and be loud, because that's who they are.
  

So what do you want to see in our new kids and teens areas in our library? No Negative Nelly's. Only positive thoughts and ideas. Now that its happening there's no looking back and negative thoughts will be removed.

So I have been training for a 5k (3.1 miles) for about seven weeks now. It is definitely hard to tell, but I have. There are a ton of different smart phone apps that you can use that help with training and I have been using one and puffing along.
I just thought I would mention this because I kept starting and stopping and I was determined that I would get through it at some point, because along with the blog, running was my other new years resolution. I always give up on new years resolutions, and we are about at the half point of the year, and so far I have not given up on any of them!
Its been interesting because both new years resolutions have been difficult, and there have been stumbling blocks, but so far I've kept going. Some of my stumbling blocks for writing are not knowing what to write, not having time to write and just lack of interest. Some of my stumbling blocks for running, are having no energy, having no time and having a lack of interest ... hmmm. Noticing a similarity there.
What have your problems been with keeping up with your resolutions? Anyone even make one?

Boy.
It is hard work being an adult. I started decluttering my office desk and wow. Its amazing how much stuff you can end up with on even your desk.
So far, I'm really enjoying the book. It doesn't have any pictures (at least the ebook version I'm reading doesn't), so that I don't have to look at pictures and get depressed at how perfect her house is and how perfect her closets are. Right now I'm reading about donating over trying to sell your stuff. Its extremely hard for me. I think about all the money that I spent purchasing my items, but it is taking up "valuable space" in my house, which is more important than the $10 I could get from my kids' duplos. It gives me heart palpitations, but it is honest. So now I have to try really hard to move forward. Its sort of funny because I don't have any trouble with donating clothes. In fact I donated a bag of clothes that was bigger than my nine-year-old daughter yesterday and I didn't bat an eye. Weird.
Anyone else have a hard time decluttering?
